Condensation temperature too high

Error

The condensation temperature (or pressure) is too high for the selected heat pump. If you believe this to be incorrect, please contact us using the support function.

Altitude too high [HP_ALTITUDE_TOO_HIGH_ERROR] [CONFIRM_SELECTION_ALTITUDE]

Error

The selected altitude for the heat pump is too high. The upper limit for the altitude for heat pumps without any additional checks necessary is 1000 m. Between 1000 and 2000 m the cooling of variable frequency drives must be checked. Installation above 2000 m is not allowed due to electrical safety reasons. The required creepage distance between live parts is higher the higher the altitude is. Improper creepage distance may lead to arcing between live parts.

Subcooler inlet temperature is too warm [SUBCOOLER_INLET_TEMPERATURE_TOO_HIGH]

Error

The subcooler inlet temperature exceeds the condensing temperature. Instead of subcooling the liquid refrigerant, the subcooler will start evaporating the refrigerant. This will lead to the heat pump malfunctioning due to the refrigerant not being completely liquid when entering the expansion valve.

Info messages

Oil cooling required

Note

S series heat pumps require oil cooling in certain operating conditions. The operating conditions in which oil cooling is required can be seen in the operation limits chart as shown in the figure below. Please contact your Oilon sales representative for details.

S series oil cooling area highlighted with red

External transformer required. Contact Oilon HQ for details. [EXTERNAL_TRANSFORMER_REQUIRED]

Warning

An external transformer is required to use the heat pump in the selected electrical grid. Please contact your Oilon representative for more details.

Wrong flow direction in the condenser or evaporator. Please check the inlet and outlet temperatures. [WRONG_FLOW_DIRECTION]

Warning

Either the condenser or evaporator inlet and outlet temperatures have been inserted in the wrong order. Please check that the condenser inlet temperature is colder than the outlet and that the evaporator inlet temperature is warmer than the outlet.

HHF motor required. Confirm lead time with Oilon

Note

S series heat pumps require a non-standard compressor when using R1234ze at high evaporating temperatures. The lead time for the compressor is longer than for the standard compressor. Please confirm the lead time with your Oilon sales representative.

The compressor motor is not compatible with this electrical grid [UNSUITABLE_MOTOR_SELECTED]

Warning

The compressor(s) of the selected heat pump do not have an electric motor compatible with the selected electrical grid. Please select either variable frequency drives for the compressors, or select a different heat pump, or use an external transformer between the heat pump and the grid.

Supply cable ambient temperature is too hot. [SUPPLY_CABLE_DESIGN_TEMPERATURE_TOO_HOT]

Warning

The ambient temperature of the enclosure surrounding the compressor supply cables is too hot. The supply cables and therefore the heat pump may be damaged. The heat pump is not suitable to be used in this temperature.

Supply cable current is too high. [SUPPLY_CABLE_CURRENT_TOO_HIGH]

Warning

The current in the compressor supply cables is too high. The allowed current is dependent on the surrounding temperature and cooling down the ambient conditions may help.

The selected VFD is unsuitable for the selected electrical grid. [VOLTAGE_UNSUITABLE]

Warning

The selected VFD is unsuitable for the selected electrical grid. Either the grid voltage is below the minimum allowed of above the maximum allowed for the selected VFD.

The compressor motor current is higher than the VFD rated current [CURRENT_TOO_HIGH]

Warning

The current required by the compressor exceeds the current that can be provided by the VFD. A larger VFD must be selected.

Supply cable current is too high. [STARTING_CURRENT_TOO_HIGH]

Warning

The current required by the compressor exceeds the current that can be provided by the VFD curing the startup of the compressor. A larger VFD must be selected.

The ambient temperature is too high. [AMBIENT_TEMPERATURE_TOO_HIGH]

Warning

The ambient temperature is too high. Damage may occur to the components of the heat pump. The ambient environment must be cooled down.
